Spa Time

Society Hotel Bingen

Society Hotel and Spa, Bingen WA

It’s half an hour to the Society Hotel and Spa, where $30 gets you an hour with the sauna, hot tubs, and cold plunge. Appointments often fill up many days in advance, so book your appointment early here!

Carson Hot Springs, Carson WA

Wren’s personal favorite and 8 minutes from home! You often don’t need to book in advance, especially for the public pool, but you can here. You can see images of each space here.

[gender separated, private soak] My recommended option – $30 – $35 gets you a private clawfoot tub where you get 25 minutes to soak, then a 25 minute relaxing towel wrap (basically a warm nap where you’re all wrapped up like a baby, very relaxing!). In the tub you have a tap directly to the hot springs, and a cold water tap to control the overall temperature. There’s another tub with cold water (~55 degrees). It’s a quiet, gender-separated room and you’ll have curtains for your private space, most folks go butt nekked.

[indoor public pool, mixed gender] $12 – $17 for a 2 hour pass to the public pools – an indoor room with a large hot tub (~104 degrees) and cold pool (~50-55 degrees). Bathing suits required. Cheap and rarely sold out. The water isn’t as hot as in the private tubs (I wish they had a warmer pool), but still relaxing!

As a bonus, it’s just a minute away from the Wind River Fitness gym that has workout classes at 6am, 7am, and 4:30pm most days (see the schedule here), in case you want to work up a sweat before soaking.
